At Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumbarbek Daukeev), active work is underway to modernize the educational buildings: the laboratory base is being updated, obsolete furniture is being repaired and replaced in classrooms with modern Finnish transformer furniture designed specifically for educational institutions and capable of adapting to various forms of classes. Additionally, efforts are being made to install air conditioners in classrooms and to modernize restrooms and hallways.

Since the beginning of this year, over 18 classrooms in two University buildings have already been renovated, more than 1200 pieces of furniture have been replaced, and 4 high-tech educational laboratories have been opened - the only one in Central Asia, the «Siemens Educational Center for Relay Protection and Automation», the «Flight Management Center scientific hub», the «Augmented and virtual reality laboratory» and the first educational center for the digitalization of energy in Kazakhstan - "Tavrida Electric". The plans for this year include maintaining the high pace of transformations and continuing the modernization of the campus infrastructure.
