Institute of electric power and electrical engineering

The Institute of Electric Power and Electrical Engineering (IEPEE) was established on October 2, 2017 on the basis of the legendary Electric Power Department, the history of which originates in 1975. He trains specialists in the field of generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity. Our laboratories are equipped with modern electrical equipment and laboratory stands of leading world companies. To implement innovative technologies, the departments closely cooperate with the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Tallinn University of Technology, other CIS research institutes and foreign partners. Students undergo practical training at the leading energy, oil, construction and industrial enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Upon graduation, graduates are employed at these enterprises or may continue their education at the master's and doctoral Ph.D. Students of the IEPEE will have a busy student life, at the same time busy participating in scientific projects, as well as in various sports sections and amateur art groups. To build a successful future, we are waiting for you at the Institute of Electric Power and Electrical Engineering!

Director of the Institute
Abdimuratov Zhubanysh

The history of the Institute of Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering of the non-profit joint-stock company “Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications” begins in 1960. The Kazakh Polytechnic Institute established the graduating department "Electrification of industrial enterprises." In 1961, on the basis of this department, two new graduating departments were opened: "Power Supply for Industrial Enterprises" and "Thermal Power Stations". In 1975, on the basis of the Department of Power Supply of Industrial Enterprises and the Department of Thermal Power Plants, the Almaty Power Engineering Institute was established, where the Power Engineering Department was established. By the decision of the AUES Scientific Council, from October 2, 2017, the Electric Power Department was transformed into the Institute of Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering (IEPEE).
The laboratories of the institute's departments are equipped with modern electrical equipment and laboratory stands of Siemens (Germany), ABB (Switzerland), Schneider Electric (France), SATEC (Israel), Legrand (France), Aries LLP (RF), Alageum Electric (Kazakhstan) , Parma (Russian Federation).

Institute announces admission and training in educational programs:

Electrical engeneering Integration and management of smart Technologies of energy saving and energy efficiency in the electric power industry Еnergy Supply of agriculture Hybrid power supply systems for agro-industrial facilities Electric Power Systems

Training of specialists is carried out on the basis of the following departments:

Electricity and renewable energy Power stations and electrical systems Electric machines and electric drive Electrical engineering

Over the course of 40 years, the Institute of Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering has trained and graduated over 9,000 highly qualified specialists in the field of electric power. Graduates of
